The short film of 'Gunslingers' is based on to rival cowboys fighting for a lady in which they want to claim. The colour in which is used to overlay this film is Sepia, this therefore adds an old fashioned feel to the film as it is set in the 'Wild West'. To compliment the setting, the costumes used compliment the surroundings as the  cowboys are in appropriate attire such as cowboy boots, and a checked shirt also the lover in this film is wearing a long dress and  we know that she is the main objective in the film due to the use of camera shots as action reaction shots can be displayed as there are multiple times during the film where close ups have shown, the type of character that she is like and the use of make up used, portrays her in a way in which she the main character in a submissive way as the use of camera executes this. In order to make the audience much more aware of what is happening the use of establishing shots help the audience to understand clearly what the narrative of the story is. The use of diegetic compliments the film well as the buzzing sounds create suspense and although the outcome is fairly obvious it still creates the sense of not knowing what is going on.
